INTRODUCTION
1.1 Beground of the Problem
One of the scopes of English subject at senior High school is the ability to understand and make some short functional texts and monologues, such as: procedure, desciptive, recount,narrative, and report. The difficulty levelof materials are shown in the usage of vocabulary, grammar, and thetorichal steps.
The third year student of High School of Negeri have low ability tounderstand and tomake some procedure texts. Based on the result of the first semester text in, only 25 (62,5 %) of the third students of SMAN I Punggur, got go (pass) for writing skill. And, 75% for readingskill, 95% for speakingskill, 87,5% for listening skill. In fact, the minimum standard is made by the English teacher forum. The data above shows that the achievement of the students’ writing skill has not ful filled the minimum standard.
In fact the procedure text is needed in our daily activity, because it shows how to getthings done through a set of steps or actions. In addition, standard competences are actived through the texts. So, the students’ low ability to understand and make some procedure texts becomes problem tostudent and teacher. On the other hands, the teacher must be able to conduct and enjoyable instructional process and make student smart.and the student must be active in the instructional process.
